Responding promptly to a complaint of a car-lifting incident in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area, the police busted a gang involved in multiple similar cases in the metropolis.
Acting on information that car-lifters had snatched a vehicle from block-2 Gulstan-e-Johar, Karachi, DSP Gulshan and SHO Gulistan-e-Johar responded to the call, which led to a car chase and culminated in an encounter.
The police in the end recovered the stolen car, two pistols as well as a GSM jammer used to immobilize any tracking mechanism installed in the vehicle.
Two accused identified as Imdad Ali and Ali Hasan were arrested after being injured in the shootout.
The police also seized 10 vehicle registration plates from the accused.
On their quick action, SSP East Javed Jiskani congratulated the raiding party.
