A brawl erupted between the activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) at Faisalabad’s Millat Chowk area on Monday.
It is said that PTI workers were protesting against the alleged rigging in 2013 elections and the federal government when incensed PML-N workers gathered at started chanting slogans against their rival party in Punjab.
The activists started brawling each other when a stone was thrown at the Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters.
Slogans of “Go Nawaz Go” and “Ro Imran Ro” are being constantly heard in the area.
It should be noted that the law and order situation is already tense in the city as PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced a shutterdown strike to protest against the alleged rigging in the 2013 elections.
