The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) top leadership has declined Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar‘s wish to handle Pakistan’s foreign affairs.
According to sources, Sarwar, requested Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for the new role.
Later on, the governor was informed that his demand can not be honoured. Sarwar was told that his role as mediator has been greatly appreciated by PML – N leadership.
The governor was also told that his current portfolio is need of the hour.
Sarwar has also played very important role as mediator between government and PAT.
Sources also confirmed that Sarwar’s meetings with the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Altaf Hussain took place with consent of PML-N’s leadership.
