Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has mandated the transition of federal government operations to a paperless environment, directing the Ministry of Information Technology and relevant agencies to implement an e-office system fully.

PM’s directive underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing transparency and efficiency in administrative processes.

In a recent announcement, the Prime Minister’s Office media wing highlighted the implementation of the e-office system as a critical priority. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed that all governmental files go through this digital platform exclusively.

Moreover, Prime Minister Sharif has imposed a strict one-month deadline for all office work to shift to the e-office system. He said he would not tolerate delays in this directive across federal offices. Starting next month, the government will disregard any files not processed through the e-office system.

Last week, the staff from the Prime Minister’s Office completed their training on the e-office system. Prime Minister Sharif has begun receiving files through this system, showcasing his dedication to this transformative project. This shift towards digitization marks a significant step in enhancing governance across Pakistan.

Additionally, the Prime Minister has called for a progress report on the implementation of the e-office system, due within the next two weeks, to underscore the urgency and significance of this modernization effort.
