Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confidently asserted on Sunday that Pakistan has met “all” preconditions set by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to reinitiate the postponed bailout program.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed optimism about signing a staff-level agreement between Pakistan and the IMF, saying “no hurdle is now left.”
While inaugurating the Sabzazar Sports Complex in Lahore, the prime minister addressed concerns about the delay in finalizing the agreement. He reassured the citizens that there was “no need to panic,” maintaining that Allah would protect Pakistan. He also hoped to finalize a staff-level agreement with the IMF within the current month.
During his speech, Shehbaz emphasized political stability’s crucial role in a country’s economic prosperity. He pledged to guide Pakistan toward economic stability under the leadership of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
Finally, Shehbaz congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election and expressed his anticipation to work closely with him further to strengthen bilateral relations, trade, and investment ties.
