Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif earlier today departed to attend  the United Nations General Assembly session in New York.

The prime minister is first headed to Britain, where he will stay for a day, before traveling onward to New York to attend the UNGA session.

Last week, the Prime Minister’s National Security and Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz told the Senate that Pakistan would highlight the Kashmir issue, Indian Interference and threats to strategic balance in South Asia at the United Nations.

Briefing the Senate on the premier’s attendance at the United Nations General Assembly session, he said that Pakistan has prepared a dossier to highlight India’s involvement in abetting terror in the country.

“India accuses non state actors of Pakistan for alleged interference, but Pakistan will raise the issue of interference of ‘Indian state actors’ in its territory,” said Pakistan’s top diplomat.

Aziz hoped that the UN would take notice of the Indian violations at the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary.
