Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will have to resign if the rigging allegations are established.
Talking to the media in Multan, he said that some of the parties and individuals are not happy to see PTI members in the parliament.
Answering a question regarding by-election in Karachi, Qureshi said that it was the first time that the MQM had to struggle for a victory and it did not win the election through rigging.
It is pertinent to note that the MQM candidate Kanwar Naveed had won by-election in NA-246 of Karachi by a crushing margin while hte PTI candidate managed 22,000 votes. 11,000 less then the votes it had polled in that constituency in 2013.
