Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Raheel Sharif visited ISI headquarters in Islamabad on Saturday where they were given briefing by DG ISI over important issues pertaining to national security.
DG ISI briefed PM and army chief about external and internal security affairs of the country. He also gave a briefing on recently conducted intelligence based operations, averted terrorism attempts and busted terrorist networks.
Prime Minister expressed concerns over involvement of foreign intelligence agencies behind the attempts of destabilizing Pakistan. He said terrorism and extremist is the biggest challenge for the nation.
He expressed determination of collectively defeating all designs of the enemies and making Pakistan a secure and affluent country.
PM also showed serious concern on recent statements made by Indian political leadership and said that all possible measures to control terrorism would be taken.
