Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif left for the United Kingdom this morning on an official visit primarily to attend an international donors conference on Afghanistan.
A Foreign Office spokesperson said that PM Sharif during his visit to UK will attend the conference on Afghanistan on the invitation of UK Prime Minister David Cameroon.
The conference, which is being held on Dec. 3-4, is jointly hosted by the UK and Afghanistan. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and CEO Abdullah Abdullah are also attending the conference.
PM Sharif will hold talks with UK prime minister, US Secretary of State John Kerry, Afghan leaders and other senior officials.
The prime minister will also hold talks with the World Bank officials, the foreign office said.
