Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has left for Peshawar following a terrorist attack at army-run school in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s capital Tuesday.
The prime minister termed the attack at school a ‘national tragedy’ before leaving Islamabad. The Prime Minister said that he would personally supervise the operation against terrorists at the school in Peshawar. The loss of innocent children is the loss of the nation, the Prime Minister said.
Meanwhile, General Raheel Sharif cut short his visit to Quetta and left for Peshawar, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. The Corps Commander Peshawar is overseeing the operation, he added.
Imran Khan, whose party is leading the coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has also left for Peshawar following the incident.
