Upper Dir: Polling is underway for by poll in the Khyebr Pakhutunkhwa Assembly Constituency PK-93 in Uppr Dir where a tough contest is likely between the Jamat-e-Islami and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
The seat had fallen vacant after JI’s Malik Behram Khan was disqualified for having a fake degree. Total registered voters in the constituency are 48076 among them 57708 women. As many as 120 polling stations have been setup of which 14 have been allocated for the female voters.
All the polling stations have been declared ‘sensitive’ in terms of security situation.
Malik Azam Khan and Sahibzada Sanaullah are representing the JI and the PPP respectively.
