The Islamabad High Court (IHC) released additional information regarding the findings on Monday.
On October 24, the Kenyan Police assassinated Arshad due to “mistaken identity.” Nonetheless, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah claims that the journalist was the victim of a “targeted attack.”
According to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Arshad had twelve markings on his body. A large black mark surrounded his left eye. The journalist had a wound on the right side of his neck and wound marks on the right side of his breast. Additionally, there was an injury mark on the top part of his back.
According to the autopsy report, there were heavy black stains around the cut on Arshad’s back. His right hand was missing four nails, and his right ankle bore signs of friction. There was no bone on the left side of the skull, and the left side of the brain was also afflicted. In addition, the journalist suffered a shattered third rib and a punctured left lung.
The study also noted that two of Arshad’s left-hand fingers had blood clots in their fingernails. In addition, the journalist’s brain and lungs were injured by the gunshot. His index finger on his left hand was also wounded.
The sources at PIMS reported receiving the Kenyan autopsy report after finishing their own. The report that arrived from Kenya indicated collecting blood and liver samples from Arshad.
According to PIMS sources, the autopsy has been updated with the journalist’s X-ray and CT Scan results, and the police and Arshad’s family have received further information regarding the autopsy. The post-mortem report also includes a separate seven-page report.
According to family sources, FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) Senior Director Ather Waheed visited the family of the murdered journalist in Islamabad and gave them Sharif’s post-mortem report, which PIMS doctors completed.
