The Picsart creator monetisation program is now live, with the AI-powered design platform saying it will pay users based on audience engagement rather than follower count. The initiative, called “Earn with Picsart,” is open to all creators and does not require a minimum number of followers.
Creators can use Picsart’s AI tools to produce original content, join brand campaigns, and share their work across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Earnings will depend on views, comments, shares, and overall reach.
Picsart says the program does not limit participation to a select group of creators. Instead, it allows everyday users to participate, regardless of how large or small their audience is.
That approach sets the program apart from many creator payout systems, which often favour accounts with larger followings or established influence. Here, the company says engagement matters more than follower numbers.

The company says creators can earn revenue through performance signals such as views, comments, shares, and reach. That means the program rewards how audiences respond to content, not just how many followers a creator already has.
In a statement, Picsart founder and CEO Hovhannes Avoyan said platforms have not truly committed to compensating everyday creators and described the new programme as a commitment to the millions who built the community.
The campaign places Picsart in more direct competition with rivals such as Adobe and Canva in the wider $104 billion creator economy. It also notes that the company reached unicorn status in 2021 after a $130 million Series C led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2.
At the same time, the company warns that simply generating AI images without meaningful creative effort will not produce substantial earnings. That signals Picsart wants creators to use AI as a tool, not as a shortcut.
