Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has declared a significant fare reduction of 30% for Umrah pilgrims and holders of Saudi resident and work visas.
This price cut aims to make religious and work-related travel more economical.
From April 7 to April 11, 2024, reduced rates are available for flights to Jeddah and Madinah. Discounts extend to Riyadh and Dammam flights until April 11.
PIA has further cut Umrah fares by 20% within the same period.
Economy fares have dropped by 50,000, enhancing travel affordability. Fare for North region passengers, like those from Lahore, is now Rs103,680. South region travellers from Karachi face fares of Rs95,400.
This fare reduction aligns with Ramazan, supporting the increase in Umrah travel.
Previously, PIA cut Umrah fares by up to Rs6,000 on November 3, 2003. These adjustments affected flights to Jeddah from Lahore, Islamabad, and other cities.
PIA’s spokesperson noted the two-way Umrah fare from these cities was Rs87,000, tax excluded, and Rs79,000 from Karachi and Quetta.
