Pakistan International Airlines has announced a major expansion of its United Kingdom operations, resuming direct flights to London, marking a key milestone in the airline’s international network revival.
The national flag carrier will begin operating four weekly flights from Islamabad to London starting March 29. These services will operate from Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, signalling PIA’s return to the British capital after a six-year suspension.
A PIA spokesperson said London remains the airline’s first international route and one of its most commercially attractive destinations. The official added that the move reflects growing passenger demand and the airline’s broader strategy to strengthen connectivity between Pakistan and the UK.

PIA already operates three weekly flights to Manchester, which have continued to attract steady traffic. The addition of London services is expected to enhance further travel options for the Pakistani diaspora, business travellers, and tourists.
The resumption of London flights underscores PIA’s efforts to rebuild confidence in its long-haul operations and restore key international routes as part of its turnaround plan.
