Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the resumption of direct flights from Dubai to Skardu starting May 30, 2025, to boost tourism to Pakistan’s scenic northern regions.
The inaugural flight was marked by a cake-cutting ceremony at PIA’s Dubai office, attended by Consul General H.E. Hussain Muhammad and a foreign tourist group. Regional Manager Sarmad Aizaz hosted the event, highlighting strengthened UAE-Pakistan ties.
According to PIA’s press statement, the new route is expected to enhance travel convenience and increase foreign exchange earnings.

PIA also plans a weekly Lahore-Paris flight starting June 18, 2025, complementing its two weekly Islamabad-Paris services, further expanding its global reach.
The PIA’s new routes signal Pakistan’s push for tourism and economic growth, while the Pakistan tourism 2025 focus aligns with Eid’s cultural significance. Both developments reflect resilience amid economic challenges.
