The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed a soft drink factory for manufacture popular soft drinks.
PFA Director Operations Rafia Haider while talking to local news channel “Geo News” said “Shandy Cola’s production unit was sealed for using expired ingredients to manufacture popular soft drinks”
PFA team seized four hundred thousand filled bottles and raw material from the factory, located on Lahore’s Sheikhupura road.
PFA alleged that Shady cola production unit was using chemicals as sweeteners.
“The factory was imprinting a bogus address on the bottles to trick authorities,” Haider said, explaining that their teams first visited the site on the printed address and grew suspicious when they found nothing there.
She added that samples of the cold drinks have miserably failed all quality tests. (PhotoNews / Geo News)
