The Government of Pakistan has announced a reduction in petroleum prices, offering relief to consumers at the start of the New Year.
According to the official notification, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs 10.28 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs 253.17 per litre.

High-speed diesel has also become cheaper, with a cut of Rs8.57 per litre. The revised diesel price now stands at Rs 257.08 per litre.
The new petroleum prices will remain in effect from January 1 to January 15. Authorities said the move aims to ease the financial burden on the public amid rising living costs.
