The Finance Division announced on March 28, 2025, that the federal government of Pakistan has lowered the petrol price by Rs1 per litre.
The petrol price change effective from March 29 sets the new petrol price at Rs254.63 per litre, down from Rs255.63. Meanwhile, high-speed diesel remains steady at Rs258.64 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended adjusting fuel prices after analyzing changes in international market prices. The Finance Division stated, “OGRA reviewed global trends and proposed these rates to ease the burden on consumers.” The updated prices aim to align local fuel costs with fluctuations in the worldwide market.
