In preparation for the 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), set to commence on April 11, 2023, the Peshawar Zalmi franchise has launched a captivating short film and an official anthem to energize its fanbase. The initiatives are part of the team’s robust promotional efforts to engage and excite cricket enthusiasts worldwide.
The short film features celebrated Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who delivers an inspiring performance to rally the fans and players.
The official anthem, a collaboration between acclaimed artists Mustafa Zahid and Aima Baig, captures the team’s spirit and energy. The music video showcases team captain Babar Azam and top-order batter Saim Ayub engaging with fans and practising, setting a motivational tone for the season.
Zalmi released a Pashto anthem performed by popular singer Raheem Shah to further connect with the local fanbase, filmed at the iconic Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar. This move highlights Zalmi’s commitment to its roots and its efforts to host PSL matches in its home city.
The team also unveiled its new jersey for PSL 10, designed by talented women artisans from Haripur as part of the ‘Dil Se Ba-Ikhtiar’ initiative, which supports women’s empowerment through vocational training. The jersey design emphasizes resilience, empowerment, and local craftsmanship.
