General (Ret.) Pervez Musharraf’s funeral prayers will be held at 1:45 pm in the Polo Ground at Malir Cantonment.
After numerous delays, a special plane carrying the former army chief’s remains arrived in Karachi on Monday night.
He passed away at 79 in Sonapur, Dubai, where the body was given Ghusl (ritual washing and shrouding of the deceased before burial).
The ex-army chief’s widow and their children were flown in with the deceased’s body.
The plane landed and was parked close to the airport’s previous terminal. After being transported from the old terminal under strict security, the body and the offended family arrived at their destination.
On Sunday, the grieving family formally requested to move the body to the Pakistani consulate in Dubai.
