PDMA KP issue high alert about heavy rain in KP

Peshawar: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued high alert about heavy rain in Hazara, Bannu and D.I. Khan Divisions.

A warning by PDMA authority issued here that heavy rain with thunderstorm and wind has been forecast for these areas Saturday and Sunday. The Commissioners of the concerned areas have been directed to provide relief in case of any emergency.

Meanwhile, rain expected in most parts of KP including Peshawar in next 24 hours, said a released issued by Met office here Friday.

According to detail, rain with thunderstorms is expected in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar, Bannu, D.I.Khan in the next 24 hours bringing the mercury down and giving some respite to the heat stricken people.

According to Provincial Met office, thunderstorms, some very strong and rain would hit most parts of the province including southern parts of KP in the next 24 hours. Provincial Capital recorded 35 degree centigrade on Friday whereas humidity remained 32 percent.

The met office informed that the temperatures are likely to rise in the next week followed by showers on Friday, next.(APP)
