The PML-N called a parliamentary party meeting on Monday (today) with the collation partners to finalize a strategy in response to the PTI’s unexpected move to dissolve the Punjab and KP Assemblies.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has also convened a meeting with party leaders to discuss his plan and consult on his resignation announcement.
Most political and legal experts believe it will be difficult for the PML-N to muster 186 members to present a no-confidence vote against Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
Hamza Shehbaz, vice president of the PML-N, has also convened a meeting of the Punjab parliamentary party to consider the options. They stated that it was more possible that the PML-N leadership would invite Elahi to take a vote of confidence via the governor of Punjab.
