The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expanded its Men’s Domestic Cricket Season for 2024-25 by introducing three new tournaments: the Champions One-Day Cup, Champions T20 Cup, and Champions First-Class Cup.
All these competitions are designed to narrow the performance gap between domestic and international levels.
From September 1, 2024, to August 5, 2025, these tournaments will complement the existing lineup, which includes the National T20 Cup, Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, President’s Trophy, President’s Cup, and the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In addition, the PCB has rescheduled the 10th edition of the PSL to run from April 10 to May 25, 2025, featuring 34 matches. This adjustment accommodates the ICC Champions Trophy, which will take place in February 2025, which Pakistan is set to host. This rescheduling marks the first clash of dates between the PSL and the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Venue distribution for the 2025 PSL includes up to 10 matches in Lahore, eight in Rawalpindi, and five in Karachi and Multan, reflecting the PCB’s strategy to host high-profile cricket events across major cities.
