Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has strongly supported the Pakistan cricket team ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, urging fans to back the team regardless of the outcomes.
“Support the team and assure them that we are with you whether you win or lose,” Naqvi stated during a media briefing in London.
Discussing the team’s composition, Naqvi noted that the captain and team management have the discretion on such matters. He added, “Overall, a strategy is in place for the team to stay calm and give their best on the field.”
At a dinner hosted by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, Naqvi reiterated his call for support, saying, “I just want to request one thing for the next four weeks. Let us all support our players.”
The national team is set to face England in the final match of a four-game T20 series later today. This game is crucial for Pakistan to level the series, as England currently leads 1-0 after winning the second T20. The first and third matches were washed out due to rain.
The series plays a significant role in Pakistan’s preparations for the T20 World Cup, which begins on June 1.
