Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi dismissed the possibility of negotiating with India regarding the venue for the upcoming Champions Trophy. Speaking after Pakistan’s impressive win over Australia in the second ODI, Naqvi emphasized that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had not formally communicated its position on the Champions Trophy to the PCB.

Naqvi refuted Indian media claims about the venue issue, noting that these reports had been circulating for about two months without official word from the BCCI that India would not travel to Pakistan for the tournament.
“The best approach is to keep politics out of cricket,” Naqvi remarked. He expressed a firm stance, stating, “While we have maintained a positive attitude, it is unreasonable to always expect the same from us.”
He further clarified that if India opts out of travelling to Pakistan, they should formally notify the PCB in writing.
Meanwhile, Indian media has been adamant, consistently reporting that the BCCI rejected the idea of playing in Pakistan, insisting instead on a neutral venue. Reports are claiming that India’s matches in the Champions Trophy will be held in Dubai.
