The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has selected 29 players for a preparatory camp at an Army base in Kakul, starting March 25. This camp aims to finalize the squad for April’s upcoming five-match T20I home series against New Zealand.
Listed for the camp are notable players including Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, among others: Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Haseebullah, Saud Shakeel, Usman Khan, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, Azam Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Irfan Khan Niazi, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Usama Mir, Mohammad Nawaz, Mehran Mumtaz, Abrar Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Ali, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Aamir Jamal, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Amir.
The camp concludes on April 8, shortly before Eid-ul-Fitr, setting the stage for the series.
The New Zealand team will arrive in Islamabad on April 14. Three T20Is are scheduled at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium on April 18, 20, and 21. The series will conclude with two matches at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on April 25 and 27.
