On a recent episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Pauly Shore, the well-known comedian and Barrymore’s former nanny, took the stage. But what was about to unfold was anything but expected.
Pauly reminisced, “What Drew might not recall is how my mother reacted to her marrying Tom Green.” This elicited chuckles from the audience. He continued, sharing his mother’s words, “She told me, ‘Pauly, Drew should be with you.'”
Without missing a beat, Shore presented a dazzling diamond ring and, traditionally, got down on one knee to propose.
Barrymore, taken aback, slid the ring onto her finger, her eyes widening at its magnitude.
Having known Barrymore since their youth, with Shore even having the responsibility of babysitting her at one point, he passionately expressed his feelings. But Barrymore left everyone hanging, teasingly suggesting the audience “stay tuned” for her response in the next episode.
