Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio, known as the “Golden Girl,” is embroiled in a high-profile lawsuit in Miami over a $15 million property.
On October 13, 2025, sources revealed to RadarOnline that Rubio faces allegations of illegal occupation and property damage after overstaying a rental agreement. The dispute centres on a residence reportedly “gifted” by her ex-husband, Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera (Colate), but legally rented.
Rubio allegedly vacated Colate’s property to rent a Miami house at $35,000 monthly. After the lease ended, she stayed 15 extra days without consent, prompting the landlord to sue for “illegal occupation.” The lawsuit claims Rubio damaged toilets, the kitchen, and other amenities, demanding $15,000 for the overstay and $110,000 for two unpaid months’ rent. After accounting for a $70,000 deposit and $17,500 paid, Rubio owes approximately $37,500, plus legal fees. Florida law may double penalties for the violation.

Simultaneously, Rubio’s legal feud with Colate over their son, Andrea Nicolás, persists. Since their 2012 separation, the former couple has clashed in Miami courts. In July 2025, a judge granted Colate temporary custody for summer vacations with his family. No final agreement has been reported, escalating tensions.
The $15 million property scandal and custody dispute tarnish Rubio’s public image, highlighting personal and legal challenges. The Miami court outcomes could set financial and familial precedents.
