Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, had his game-worn jersey auctioned for $213,500.
Goldin Auctions facilitated the sale of the jersey, worn during a 2022 NFL game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The jersey fetched a final bid of $175,000, escalating to $213,500 with premiums, ranking it among the priciest jerseys ever sold.
Mahomes showcased an impressive performance in that game, passing for 292 yards and scoring four touchdowns, leading to a narrow 30-29 victory in Week 10. His efforts contributed to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win over the Philadelphia Eagles that season.
In related news, an auction over the weekend saw the sale of Jason Kelce’s game-worn Eagles jersey. Kelce, a key player on the Eagles’ offensive line, had his 2019 uniform, worn in a game against the New England Patriots, sell for over $17,507, including buyer premiums. Unlike Mahomes’ game, the Eagles faced a 17-10 defeat in this matchup.
Additionally, a jersey worn by NFL Hall-of-Fame ballot nominee Antonio Gates was auctioned. The former Los Angeles Chargers player’s 2016 season uniform sold for $7,320 through the same auction house.
