To ensure uninterrupted services for citizens, passport offices in Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi will remain open 24/7 on February 5, 2025, observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The decision aims to facilitate citizens who require passport services while the nation commemorates the day.

Passport Office Locations and Operations

  • Lahore: The passport office in Garden Town will remain operational.
  • Islamabad: The office located in G-10/4 will provide round-the-clock services.
  • Karachi: The public facilitation centre will also remain open to assist citizens.

Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed to express Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for their right to self-determination, as outlined in UN resolutions. Public holidays, solidarity walks, and rallies across the country and Azad Kashmir mark the day.

In Islamabad, a rally will be held on Constitution Avenue, while sirens will sound at 10:00 AM, followed by a one-minute silence to honour the martyrs of Kashmir.

To highlight the plight of Kashmiris and expose Indian atrocities, posters and billboards have been displayed at key locations, including airports and railway stations.

In Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, a special session of the AJK Legislative Assembly will be held to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
