In a heartfelt final video released on Wednesday, Mohammad Shiraz, Pakistan’s youngest vlogger, announced his departure from YouTube to focus on his studies.
Shiraz is known for his engaging videos, which offer a glimpse into his daily life in Khaplu, a picturesque town in Pakistan. He has gained a significant following, with 1.57 million subscribers. Despite his passion for vlogging, he shared his father’s wish for him to prioritize education over creating content.
During the farewell video, Shiraz took his audience on a final tour of his village, sharing moments with his family, especially his sister Muskan. He emotionally stated, “From today, I won’t be making vlogs. My father has asked me to spend some time on my studies and stop making videos.” Expressing his reluctance, he added, “But I really enjoy vlogging. So today is my last vlog. What should I do?” as he wiped away tears.
The video quickly captured the hearts of viewers, amassing over 600,000 views. Many expressed their support in the comments, encouraging Shiraz’s decision to focus on education while showing their sadness at his departure. A viewer commented, “Our love and prayer for you and your family; your father made a good decision for your future. May Allah bless you and your family.” Another shared, “Work hard, buddy; education is necessary. It will make you a better person. Don’t listen to the nonsense of ‘degrees don’t matter’; work hard and maybe make vlogs on the side.”
Since joining YouTube in 2022, Shiraz’s channel, “Shirazi Village Vlogs,” has become a cherished space where he documents life in his village.
Shiraz’s channel description invites viewers to “Hello, my name is Shiraz. I am the youngest YouTuber and vlogger in Pakistan; I share my village’s simple life and experiences. I kindly request that you subscribe to my channel and follow me on Instagram. Thank you.” With over 80 videos, his channel includes adventures with his sister Muskan and celebrates milestones like receiving the YouTube silver play button in March.
