Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan are voicing their dissatisfaction with the perceived lack of support from the Pakistani embassy.
Pakistani students expressed their concerns that they are not receiving the level of assistance that Indian students might expect from their government. A student from Pakistan, currently studying in Kyrgyzstan, pointed out that if they were Indian, the Indian Foreign Minister might have intervened by now.
These students have contacted key Pakistani leaders seeking urgent assistance, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and Army Chief Asim Munir. They report experiencing violence and a lack of advocacy from their government.
Furthermore, they are being compelled to leave their hostels amid adverse weather conditions, with some students sustaining injuries, leaving them in desperate need of shelter and support.
A video submitted by one of the students illustrates that the embassy staff in Kyrgyzstan has also not been cooperative, adding to their plight and frustration.
