The Pakistani activist for female education and youngest ever Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai (who shot to global prominence after being shot in the head by Taliban terrorists) earlier today congratulated Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy for winning her second Oscar, expressing the hope that the government would introduce effective legislation against honor killing.
Speaking by telephone, she said the entire Pakistani nation was proud of Sharmeen Obaid and grateful to her for raising voice for women rights.
