In a recent development related to the ongoing Field General Court Martial (FGCM) proceedings involving Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hamid, the Pakistani Army’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), announced on Thursday that three additional retired officers have been detained.

Per the ISPR, these individuals are held in military custody due to actions deemed prejudicial to military discipline.

The ISPR further elaborated that the arrests are part of a broader investigative effort targeting certain retired officers and their associates. These individuals are suspected of fostering instability in collaboration with and at the direction of vested political interests.

The statement underscores the military’s ongoing commitment to addressing any breaches of discipline and maintaining the integrity of its ranks, particularly concerning the involvement of its former members in politically motivated activities. Investigations continue as the authorities seek to uphold order and discipline within the military establishment.
