Pakistani exports to the UAE surge 22% over the past six months, reaching $1 billion, as trade ties between the two countries continue to strengthen. Officials shared the update during a networking event held alongside the World Health Expo (WHX) 2026 in Dubai.
The event was organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai. Representatives highlighted improved diplomatic coordination and increased participation in international exhibitions.
Ali Zeb Khan, Pakistan’s Trade and Investment Counsellor in Dubai, confirmed the 22% growth. He described the rise as a clear indicator of expanding commercial engagement between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Pakistani Exports to UAE Surge Amid Visa Facilitation
The surge in Pakistani exports to the UAE coincides with enhanced diplomatic efforts to ease visa access for genuine traders. Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, said the consulate is working closely with the UAE Embassy in Islamabad and the UAE Consulate in Karachi.
He assured business leaders that streamlined visa procedures are being implemented through established diplomatic channels. According to him, legitimate Pakistani businessmen can now obtain visas more efficiently and participate in exhibitions without unnecessary delays.
This facilitation aims to remove logistical hurdles that previously limited trade participation. Improved mobility for exporters is expected to further strengthen economic links between the two countries.
Strong Presence at World Health Expo 2026
At WHX 2026, 40 Pakistani companies showcased their products under a brightly illuminated Pakistan Pavilion. The expo featured 32 country pavilions and attracted traders from around 180 countries.
The annual Dubai Health Expo provided Pakistan with a platform to highlight its healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. Companies promoted “Made in Pakistan” products to a global audience, reinforcing the country’s export potential.

Officials noted that international exhibitions remain critical for market expansion. Participation allows exporters to build partnerships, secure orders, and strengthen brand visibility in competitive markets.
The UAE remains one of Pakistan’s key trading partners. The recent export growth reflects rising demand for Pakistani goods and improved coordination between trade institutions and diplomatic missions.
By combining policy support with private sector engagement, authorities aim to sustain this upward trend. Continued collaboration between TDAP, consulates, and exporters is expected to drive further gains in bilateral trade.
