The Pakistani Embassy in the UAE has suspended services until March 3 as a precautionary measure amid escalating regional tensions.
Officials in Abu Dhabi said the move is intended to safeguard the Pakistani community in the United Arab Emirates. The embassy advised citizens to follow local authority instructions and avoid crowded public areas.
Both the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and consular operations in Dubai are affected. Authorities confirmed that services will resume once the security situation stabilises.

The decision follows reports of military strikes involving the United States, Israel and Iran. Subsequent retaliatory actions reportedly heightened security concerns across the Gulf region.
Embassy officials emphasised that the safety and welfare of Pakistani nationals remain their top priority. They added that the situation is being monitored closely. Regional instability has also disrupted air travel across the Middle East.
According to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, the airspace of Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Syria was completely closed. Airspace in the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Jordan faced operational restrictions.

Flights at airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi were temporarily halted. Major transit hubs, including Dubai International Airport and airports in Abu Dhabi and Doha, experienced closures or significant limitations.
These airports serve as key links between Europe and Asia. As a result, thousands of flights were affected, and many passengers were stranded.
However, Pakistani authorities confirmed that Pakistan’s airspace remains fully open and safe for all types of flight operations.
Aviation analysts noted that the high volume of connecting flights and grounded aircraft created complex logistical challenges worldwide. Airlines continue to adjust schedules as the situation evolves.
