Pakistani adventurer Samar Khan has successfully scaled Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America, at 6,961 meters (22,837 feet).
Khan shared on Instagram that she began her ascent with a team of nine strong women at 4:15 am, reaching the summit at 2 pm.
She described the climb as challenging, citing the extreme cold and harsh winds of the Andes as significant obstacles. “With Allah’s grace and your prayers, I completed the climb,” Khan stated.
Mount Aconcagua, located in the Andes mountain range of Argentina, holds the title of the tallest mountain outside Asia and is one of the Seven Summits.
Experts note that Aconcagua is among the most accessible of the Seven Summits, offering both a challenging experience and a stepping stone to more daunting peaks.
Khan, who is equally passionate about cycling and mountaineering, joins other distinguished Pakistani climbers like Abdul Joshi, Saad Munawar, Asad Ali Memon, Abdul Jabbar Bhatti, Samina Baig, and Mirza Ali Baig in conquering this formidable peak.
Having completed her climb, Khan has returned to Mendoza and is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on January 19.
