Eyman Fatima, an uncapped top-order batter, has received a surprise call-up to Pakistan’s 15-member squad for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. She recently made her international debut in the T20I series against Ireland.
The selection panel rewarded her for strong domestic performances. She notably impressed scouts during Pakistan’s National T20 tournament in May.
As per ICC, Eyman Fatima is one of seven players set to make their maiden appearance at an ODI World Cup. The other new faces are:
- Natalia Parvaiz
- Rameen Shamim
- Sadaf Shamas
- Sadia Iqbal
- Shawaal Zulfiqar
- Syeda Aroob Shah
This blend of youth and experience highlights the team’s building strategy for the future. All-rounder Fatima Sana will continue her role as team captain. She will lead the side in the global mega-event.

Pakistan secured their spot in the tournament by winning the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in April. The team finished in first place after a dominant campaign, winning all their matches. They achieved key victories against strong teams like the West Indies and Bangladesh. The team, along with its travelling reserves, will now begin preparations for the tournament.
