The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast cold conditions, fog, and snowfall across several parts of the country over the coming days. The department said the weather will remain cold and partly cloudy in most regions.
In Islamabad, cold and partly cloudy weather is expected to persist. Similar conditions are forecast for Murree, Galyat, and nearby areas, where skies are likely to remain partly cloudy. The Pothohar region is also expected to experience the same weather pattern.
Dense fog is likely to affect large parts of Punjab, especially during morning and night hours. Cities expected to face reduced visibility include Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sheikhupura, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, and Mianwali.

Foggy conditions may also develop in southern and central Punjab. These areas include Layyah, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Shorkot, Multan, Kot Addu, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan. The Met Office has advised motorists to exercise caution due to low visibility.
In northern regions, rain and snowfall are expected in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, particularly in higher elevations. The department added that Azad Kashmir and Balochistan are likely to remain cold and dry for now.
According to the Meteorological Department, a new spell of rain and snowfall is expected to begin in various parts of the country from tomorrow, further intensifying winter conditions in the northern and upper regions. Citizens are advised to stay updated with official forecasts and take necessary precautions.
