Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said Friday that Pakistan is ready to resolve all issues with India peacefully but it would not accept any kind of hegemony.
Addressing a press conference here after a crucial meeting of the National Security Committee, Khan said that India is involved in massive firing using heavy weapons across the working boundary killing around 13 Pakistanis.
He said that it was unfortunate that India postponed the dialogue process using a lame excuse of a meeting with Huriyat conference leaders.
Khan said that Islamabad wants to resolve all outstanding issues with New Delhi peacefully but Pakistan would not accept any kind of hegemony.
He said that Indian aggression has come at a time when Pakistani armed forces are busy fighting militants in North Waziristan agency. Under these circumstances, he rejected Indian claims that Pakistan started firing. “There is no logic behind these claims,” he asserted.
He said that the meeting also decided to take up the issue with United Nations Secretary General.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presided over the NSC meeting, which was attended by all three services chiefs, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Defence Minister, Interior Minister and Minister for Information.
PM Sharif briefed the participants about his visit to Miranshah yesterday. PM Sharif said that the government would provide every possible assistance to the temporary displaced persons.
