Hyderabad: Pakistan is interested in increasing bilateral trade with India but tensions at the Line of Control are affecting businesses, said Chief Executive Officer of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) S.M. Muneer.
He was talking to a group of journalists at a dinner hosted by Goharullah, president Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) in the honour of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) chairman Mian Mohammad Idrees and other federation leaders at his residence on Wednesday night.
Muneer said that the non-tariff barriers on the part of India were withdrawn and the current trade volume between the two countries stands at $2.5 billion, with Pakistan exporting goods worth $2 billion and trade volume of its imports is around $500 million.
