The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has selected five players, including four experienced cricketers and one emerging pacer, for the highly anticipated five-match T20I series against Bangladesh, starting on May 25, 2025.
The 2025 T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be held in Faisalabad and Lahore. Bangladesh is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on May 21.
The shortlisted players are Sahibzada Farhan, Hussain Talat, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, and rising fast bowler Ali Raza125. Sahibzada Farhan stands out after a record-breaking HBL PSL 2025 season, leading the global T20 run-scorers’ chart with 841 runs in 12 matches at an average of 84.10 and a strike rate 182.42. Farhan’s four T20 centuries this year place him among elite company, joining the ranks of Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, Jos Buttler, and Shubman Gill.

All-rounders Hussain Talat and Faheem Ashraf have also impressed in the PSL, while Hasan Ali leads the PSL 10 bowling charts with 13 wickets and recently became the league’s all-time leading wicket-taker. Young pacer Ali Raza has caught selectors’ attention with eight wickets in six matches.

The five-match T20I series will open at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, with games on May 25 and May 27, before moving to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium for matches on May 30, June 1, and June 31. The PCB is expected to finalise the squad and confirm match timings soon
