Pakistan were crowned champions of the Men’s U19 Asia Cup after delivering a commanding 191-run victory over arch-rivals India U19 in the final at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Sunday. The emphatic win underlined Pakistan’s dominance and sealed the title convincingly.
Chasing a daunting target of 348, India’s batting collapsed to 156 in just 26.2 overs under sustained pressure from Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack. Despite a brief early flourish, India failed to build partnerships as wickets fell at regular intervals.
India made a brisk start through Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who added 32 runs with captain Ayush Mhatre before Ali Raza struck in the fourth over to remove the Indian skipper for two. An over later, Mohammad Sayyam dismissed Aaron George for 16, denying the top-order batter a repeat of his match-winning effort against Pakistan in the group stage.

Raza tightened Pakistan’s grip on the contest by dismissing Suryavanshi on the first ball of his next over, reducing India to 49 for three. The left-handed opener remained India’s most fluent batter, scoring a rapid 26 off 10 deliveries, including one four and three sixes, but his dismissal proved decisive.
From there, Pakistan’s bowlers maintained relentless pressure. India’s resistance faded despite a late counterattack from Deepesh Devendran, who top-scored with a brisk 36 off 16 balls, featuring six fours and two sixes.
Raza led Pakistan’s bowling effort with four wickets for 42 runs in 6.2 overs. Abdul Subhan, Mohammad Sayyam, and Huzaifa Ahsan provided strong support, claiming two wickets each to complete a comprehensive bowling performance.

Earlier, Pakistan capitalised on India captain Ayush Mhatre’s decision to field first by posting a formidable 347 for eight in their 50 overs. The innings was anchored by an outstanding century from Sameer Minhas, who produced a match-defining knock.
Pakistan began steadily as Minhas and Hamza Zahoor added 31 runs before Henil Patel dismissed Zahoor for 18 in the fourth over. Minhas then forged a crucial 92-run partnership for the second wicket with Usman Khan, steering Pakistan into a dominant position.
The stand ended in the 17th over when Khilan Patel caught Usman Khan at long-on. The left-hander made a valuable 35 off 45 balls, including three fours and a six. Minhas continued to control the innings and added a blistering 137 runs for the third wicket with Ahmed Hussain, who scored 56 from 73 deliveries.

Minhas later shared a 42-run stand with captain Farhan Yousaf before falling on the penultimate delivery of the 43rd over. He finished with a superb 172 off 113 balls, laced with 17 fours and nine sixes, the highest score of the match.
Pakistan briefly stumbled after his dismissal, losing four quick wickets, including Yousaf for 19, but late unbeaten contributions from Mohammad Sayyam and Niqab Shafiq helped push the total close to 350.
For India, Devendran picked up three wickets but conceded 83 runs, while Henil Patel and Khilan Patel claimed two each. However, the bowling effort proved insufficient as Pakistan’s all-round dominance secured a memorable title triumph
