Pakistan and Turkey Saturday agreed on accelerating their efforts for a peaceful resolution of the deteriorating situation in the Middle East.
Pakistan and Turkey were endeavoring to find a negotiated solution to the crisis in Yemen and holding regular consultations.

According to a statement from the PM House, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan telephoned Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif a short while ago.
During the conversation that lasted for about 45 minutes, the two leaders discussed the situation in the Middle East and agreed that both the countries would accelerate efforts to resolve the deteriorating situation through peaceful means.

They stressed that Houthis didn’t have any right to overthrow a legitimate government in Yemen and affirmed that any violation of the territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia would evoke a strong reaction from both the countries.
The statement said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was in touch with various important Muslim leaders in his effort to diffuse the situation and salvage peace. (APP)
