The first test of a two-match rubber between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will begin tomorrow at Galle International Stadium, Sri Lanka.

This will be their latest bout after the two teams leveled the test series in Sharjah six months ago.

Skippers of both the teams ie. Misbah-ul-Haq of Pakistan and Angelo Mathews of Sri Lanka are determined to go all out to achieve victory.

Pakistan will look to end an eight-year drought without a Test win in Sri Lanka while the hosts after being surprised by South Africa on home turf will try to regain the momentum.

Pakistan, are ranked at  third place in the ICC rankings despite not playing any cricket since January, will drop to sixth position  if they lose the series.
