Karachi: Pakistani government has decided to release as many as 163 Indian fishermen including eight Muslims as a goodwill gesture.
The prisoners, apprehended 10 months ago after straying into Pakistan’s territorial water, will be released on Sunday from District Jail Malir.
During the Ufa summit between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, it was agreed to release the fishermen of the two countries who are languishing in jails.
