Musadik Malik, minister of state for the petroleum division, has confirmed that Russia has agreed to sell Pakistan reduced crude oil, gasoline, and diesel.
Malik during a press briefing claimed that his travel to Russia was more productive than planned and anticipated.
State Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik, Secretary Petroleum Capt (retd) Muhammad Mahmood, Joint Secretary, and petroleum division officials went to Moscow to explore discounted Russian crude oil and other petroleum products.
Malik stated that the government had made substantial progress in talks with Russia’s private LNG and state LNG producers and pipeline discussions with Moscow.
Pakistan’s team asked for a 30-40% reduction in Russian crude oil during meetings in Moscow last week, but the Russians indicated they couldn’t provide anything because all volumes were committed.
