The PTA reports that mobile internet speeds have increased from 15.65 Megabits per second (Mbps) to 20.02 Mbps. This increase in speed aligns with a significant 24.2 percent rise in mobile internet usage, highlighting the increasing demand for digital connectivity among the people of Pakistan.

Broadband and Telecom Subscriber Growth

As of September 2024, the number of broadband subscribers has reached a milestone of 142.3 million, with the telecom subscriber base expanding to 196 million. The telecom sector has seen increased users and substantial revenue generation, recording Rs955 billion in the last fiscal year. Additionally, the local production of mobile devices has risen, with 29.6 million units manufactured within the country during the same period.
