Pakistan Railways recently upgraded the Tezgam Express by introducing a premium lounge dining car to enhance passengers’ travel experience.

The premium lounge addition boasts a more expansive seating arrangement, accommodating 35 passengers at a time. It offers an improved culinary experience with an extensive menu of over 40 dishes, such as soups, burgers, pizzas, and fried foods.

The dining car is fully air-conditioned and well-equipped with modern kitchen facilities, including tandoors, microwaves, and other essential appliances to provide a high-quality dining service on the move.

Looking ahead, Pakistan Railways is set to expand this enhanced dining car service to other trains in its network, including the Khyber Mail and Allama Iqbal Express, within the next few weeks.

The initiative follows the successful launch of the “Restaurant on Wheels” project in January, first introduced on the Karachi-Multan Bahauddin Zakaria Express. This series of upgrades underscores Pakistan Railways’ commitment to improving passenger amenities and ensuring a more comfortable and enjoyable journey for its users.
